Al Qaeda terrorist Abdul Rehman arrested in Odisha


A suspected Al Qaeda terrorist, Abdul Rehman, has been arrested from a village in Odisha’s Cuttack district, police said on Wednesday.Acting in concert with a Delhi Police team, Rehman, 37, a resident of Paschimakachha village, was arrested on Tuesday night after tracking his phone calls, police sources said.He would be taken to New Delhi after being produced in a court. 
Another suspected al-Qaeda terrorist was arrested by Delhi Police on Wednesday. Asif is reportedly a native of Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. The 41-year-old was arrested following suspicion of his alleged link with al-Qaeda. Since last month, major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad were on high alert and security was on high alert after intelligence agencies reported threat of al-Qaeda terror attacks. Reportedly, the terror outfit may target public places, tourist spots, places of worship and iconic building, and in these cities.
