The phenomenal blockbuster of India's biggest motion picture Baahubali is still reaping the benefits for its director Rajamouli and lead actor Prabhas. While both Jakkanna and the Young Rebel Star are now national icons thanks to the success of Baahubali, the two stars have also found their names included in the Forbes India 2015 Celebrity 100 list for the first time.
In the latest Forbes India celebrity rankings, Tollywood's numero uno director SS Rajamouli secured the 72nd rank with a yearly earnings of a whopping 26 crores. Meanwhile, Prabhas clinched the 77th position with total earnings of 24 crores in the year 2015. Rajamouli's money wise rank is 30, while his fame wise rank is 84. Likewise, Prabhas' money wise rank is 33 and his fame wise rank is 88.
And these numbers, their earnings in 2015, reveal interesting stuff about Prabhas and Rajamouli. Definitely these earnings are pointing out that they are incomes earned from Baahubali only. If this earning in 2015 is final settlement of Baahubali, then including the advance paid in 2013 and another instalment in 2014, say that Prabhas received a whopping remuneration for the film. Even though if we cut 4 crores of Prabhas' earning for Mahindra Ad, his remuneration will be nearly 40 crores, including 2015's 20 crore and previous payments as per speculations.
Same is the case with Rajamouli. Add couple of crores to Rajamouli's 2015 income of 26 crores, then he too would have got a cool 40 crores for 3 years of work. Wait. Wait. What if this 2015 income is advance money paid for Baahubali 2? Probably the income of Rajamouli and Prabhas, from 2013 to 2017, should be treated as their remuneration for Baahubali.
