Prime Minister Narendra Modi on tuesday launched 'Stand up India' scheme, which is a part of the goverment intention to promote entrepreneurship among Scheduled Castes, Schedule Tribes and women. The scheme includes a composite loan of between INR 10 lakh to INR 1 Crore for setting up any new event. As part of the launch event modi distributed 5,100 e-rickshaws under the Mudra Yojna Scheme. Cycle rickshaw owners as well as women and transgenders received e-rickshaw. These e-rickshaws have been distributed for use in Delhi-NCR region, including Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. The customers will now be able to book e-rickshaws through Ola mobile app and make online payment by using Freecharge platform.
