India's first women fighter pilots get wings

Three women Bhawana Kanth, Avani Chaturvedi, and Mohana Singh were been commissioned as India's women fighter pilots. Upon completion of successful training at the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad they were officially commissioned into Indian Air Force by Manohar Parrikar (Defence Minister). The women, who broke hurdle to inscribe their names in history of the Indian Air Force, will get to fly fighter jets like Sukhoi and Tejas next year after completion of stage-III training at Bidar, Karnataka.
