In Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, hundreds of women lied on the ground in a line to be walked over by 'gods'. Women take part in this peculiar rite as they believe that this will clinch their wish of having children. Every year on Ekadashi, the womens who don't have children come to Lakshmi Narasimha Swami temple in Baktarapalli village of Anantapur district.
Local people says that the tradition has been passed on for generations and many say their wishes have been fulfilled.
